Obviously you start with the registration.
You will have a valid account once you have confirmed your email address.
Next step is validating your VAT number.
Now you can add a profile and publish it.
If you don't want the whole wide world to find your profile, you can create a group and add followers.
During step 3 of the publication, you can then select the groups you want.
And now it's time for a coffee
Your profile is by default never publicly available.
Only published profiles
can be found.
By who?
That depends entirely on you!
During step 3 of the publication, you decide who may find it.
Either you choose the whole wide world, or you choose certain groups.
If you cannot find your own published profile, the profile has been published via one or more groups (in step 3) to which your own e-mail address does not belong.
Very likely the profile is not easily found. A profile can be found faster if the right search terms are included with the skills. The search terms are used in the reference, in the job title and in the skills. Note that you can also search for parts of a word. So a "Functional Analyst" can be found if you search with "function".
A profile is found faster if the correct search terms are included with the skills. Since a CV is the complete summary of one's career, it is easy to copy and paste a CV in MS Word format in its entirety into the Skills field. An additional advantage is that the layout is also used.
